Eminent Personalities Honoured with Udaan Lata Mangeshkar Award

Lucknow: Several distinguished personalities from the fields of music, performing arts, culture, and public service were honoured with the prestigious Udaan Lata Mangeshkar Award during the fifth edition of the cultural programme “Tum Mujhe Yun Bhula Na Paoge–5”, organized by the social and cultural organization Udaan in Lucknow.

The event was held at the auditorium of the Buddha Research Institute in Gomti Nagar as a tribute to legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar and in memory of the late Asha Bhosle. The programme celebrated their immense contribution to Indian music and culture through a series of artistic performances and award presentations.

Distinguished Artists and Cultural Figures Honoured

Chief guests Namrata Pathak and Sarita Singh presented the fifth Udaan Lata Mangeshkar Awards to several eminent personalities in recognition of their outstanding contributions in their respective fields.

The award recipients included Padma Shri Dr. S.N. Kuril, Bipin Kumar, Director of the Bharatiendu Natya Academy, Mukta Chatterjee, renowned singer Dr. Malavika Hariom, acclaimed tabla maestro Pt. Ravinath Mishra, and Kathak guru Dr. Akanksha Srivastava.

The honourees were presented with bouquets, ceremonial shawls, mementoes, and certificates of appreciation.

Mesmerizing Performances Pay Tribute to Musical Legends

The evening featured captivating dance performances by talented artists who choreographed and performed to some of the most memorable songs rendered by Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle. The performances received enthusiastic applause from the audience and created a nostalgic atmosphere celebrating the rich legacy of Indian music.

Art lovers and cultural enthusiasts in attendance were enthralled by the blend of music, dance, and artistic expression showcased throughout the programme.

Prominent Guests Attend Ceremony

Among the distinguished guests present at the event were Member of the Legislative Council Pawan Singh Chauhan, Padma Shri Vidya Bindu Singh, Padma Shri Urmila Srivastava, Ustad Yugantar Sindoor, Prabhunath Rai, and several other eminent personalities from the cultural and literary community.

The programme was hosted by Pradeep, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Narendra Yadav.

The event served as a heartfelt tribute to two iconic voices of Indian music and highlighted the contributions of artists and cultural practitioners who continue to enrich the country’s artistic heritage.
